Reception in the Courtyard

“Wild Night” by Craig Blietz

Edgewood Orchard Galleries will host an opening reception for its third exhibit of the season on June 13, 4 – 7 pm. Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served in the gallery courtyard and the public is welcome. Featured artists are Craig Blietz, Richard Bronk, Joseph & Georgia Pozycinski, George Shipperley, Dave Tilton and Tilton + Oeler.

Astronomies, a collection of newly completed oil paintings by Blietz, will be shown in the Courtyard Gallery. This body of work represents Blietz’s first focused effort on the relationship between animals and planets.

A new collection of beautifully crafted designs by woodworker Bronk will be part of the feature exhibit. Bronk’s one-of-a-kind pieces execute designs that involve freeform joinery and intarsia creating unmatched visual interest.

The glass and bronze sculptures created by the husband and wife team of Joseph and Georgia Pozycinski add a colorful and fluid component to the exhibit. Their work combines the rich and beautiful properties of bronze with colorful glass in a way that allows light to pass through the glass, bringing the piece to life.

“Dedicated Followers of Fashion” by Tilton + Oeler

Oil pastel artist Shipperley has quickly developed a loyal audience for his artwork. Shipperley’s enthusiasm for painting is reflected in his comments, “To be an artist means to have an insatiable appetite to create and explore…always searching for new and original thoughts.”

Tilton’s work is experimental and created in a digital environment. Modeled after concepts used in the creation and synthesis of sounds for electronic music composition, his techniques are unique, innovative, and complex.

Tilton + Oeler, the collaborative works of artist Dave Tilton and his wife Paula Oeler, combine representational forms with an abstract painterly aesthetic. Their works are largely influenced by the ever-changing nature of Door County landscapes.
