Record Visitors at Kewaunee Winter Park

A record-breaking 13,674 people from nearly 20 states visited Winter Park in Kewaunee County during the 12 weeks it was open during the 2018-19 season. The Promotion & Recreation Department reports 12,494 people spent time snow tubing, and 1,180 went skiing and snowboarding between Dec. 22 and March 10.

“The increase in attendance is the ultimate payoff for the amount of work that it takes to get Winter Park up and running,” said Dave Myers, Kewaunee County promotion and recreation director. “This is a big tourism draw for our area, and with more visitors, the Winter Park Association is able to continue upgrading amenities.”

The 2017-18 season’s attendance is the second best on record, with 11,073 visitors.
