Recycling Day Schedule for Sister Bay and Liberty Grove

The Village of Sister Bay and the Town of Liberty Grove are sponsoring a Prescription Drug Drop-Off Day & Shredding/Appliance Recycling Day Sept. 15. Any unused or outdated pills and capsules as well as documents to be shredded, appliances or computer components to be recycled should be brought to the parking lot at the Liberty Grove Town Hall between 9 am and 1 pm. Before large items are placed on the truck any and all recycling fees must be paid. Residents of other municipalities will not be allowed to participate.

There is no charge to safely dispose of unused or outdated pills or have documents securely shredded. A fee of $5 could be charged to recycle a unit with Freon, $10 to recycle a monitor, $15 to recycle smaller televisions and any other items that have a compressor or a screen, and $30 to recycle a console or a TV larger than 30”.

Due to logistical issues liquids, creams, syringes, lotions, chemotherapy drugs, aerosols and inhalers, needles and mercury thermometers will not be accepted. There is a limit of five bankers boxes full of materials to be shredded per household or business.
