Red Cross Offers Disaster Mental Health Course

The American Red Cross of Northeast Wisconsin is offering a Disaster Mental Health course on Sept. 26, 5:30 – 9 pm at the Door County Senior Resource Center in Sturgeon Bay. The course is basic level and instructor-led, and will introduce the key concepts, knowledge and skills required of anyone assigned to the Disaster Mental Health Activity.

The purpose of the course is to prepare licensed mental health professionals to provide for and respond to the psychological needs of people across the continuum of disaster preparedness, response and recovery.
