Red & White Quilt Show at UU Gallery

The Trillium Quilt Guild presents the Red and White Gallery Exhibit, Dec. 3-27 at the UU Gallery in Ephraim. A reception for the artists will be held at the gallery on Dec. 4, 12-2 pm.

In 2016, guild members participated in a Red & White Quilt Challenge. Although quilters were limited to two colors, they had the freedom to create their own designs in any size or shape. The quilts include examples of traditional piecing, applique, 3D and paper-piecing with many embellishments. The sizes range from a king size quilt to a small mug rug.

The Trillium Quilt Guild has been part of the Door County art scene for more than 16 years. Exhibits have included the Fairfield Gallery, The Link Gallery, Meadows Art Gallery, The Ridges Sanctuary and Corner of the Past Museum. Quilts by members have been juried into shows at the Hardy Gallery and the Madison Quilt Expo.

Membership is open to all levels of quilters for a nominal membership fee. New members are welcome.

The Guild regularly participates in community and charitable initiatives by donating quilts for causes such as Sister Bay’s Centennial, Neighbor-to-Neighbor Volunteer Caregivers, victims of Hurricane Sandy, Door County Cancer Center and the Quilts of Valor Project.

The UU Gallery is located at 10341 Highway 42 in north Ephraim. Gallery hours are 1-3 pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and by appointment. For more information call 920.854.7559.
