Roberts Brings Bold Color to Glas

The month of July brings the work of Will Roberts to Glas Coffee in Sturgeon Bay. Roberts’ work is flooded in color; it’s bright, bold and full of energy.

Using landscape as subject matter, many of the paintings feature Door County images, but they are much different from typical Door County landscape paintings. The bold colorist is not afraid to put orange next to mauve or to paint a rugged terrain with turquoise. The exhibit will also include several figure studies.

The Blue Dolphin House Studio in Ephraim represents Roberts. He has also been selected to exhibit in “Reading The Ridges,” an exhibit at the Link Gallery at the Door County Auditorium.

The public is invited to a “Meet the Artist Reception” at Glas Coffee on July 9 from 5 – 7 pm.
