Rolling Pin Artistry

Rolling pin art will be on silent auction display at Sweetie Pies between June 27 and October 27 for their High Roller Silent Auction. During this time the public is invited to place bids on special ballots for the entry they wish to purchase. This year, proceeds will be given to Feed My People.

“High Roller” is a play on words referring to artwork made on, or in the shape of, a rolling pin. Whereas in past years there was a popularity contest as well as silent auction, this year every entrant will receive only what they determine as a “minimum bid” for their work. Anything over and above that bid will be donated directly to the food pantry. The creator of each entry will also receive a coupon for a small “cutie” pie of their choice.

Entry forms for the 2014 High Roller event are available at art and cooking supply shops in the area as well as from Sweetie Pies during open hours: 10 am – 4 pm on weekends and 10 am – 5 pm daily after Memorial Day. Forms can also be downloaded from sweetiepies.us. Sweetie Pies is located at the Settlement Shops, 9106 Highway 42, just south of Fish Creek.
