Salaries for Elected Officials Increase

Sturgeon Bay – Elected officials on the Sturgeon Bay Common Council approved a salary bump Tuesday evening from $850 to $950 per month for the mayor, and from $600 to $650 per month for the alders. The council approved the salary increases previously but had to wait for another election before they could take effect.

The alders’ increase is retroactive to April 2020, but the mayor’s increase will take effect in April 2022, according to the unanimously approved ordinance.

The last time the salaries were increased was 2014 for alders and 2013 for the mayor.
