Santa Brings His Elves and Reindeer to Ephraim

The Ephraim Business Council will present its annual Christmas in the Village on Saturday, Dec. 4.

Tour downtown Ephraim on a complimentary, horse-drawn wagon, 2:30-4 pm. Santa will arrive on a fire truck at 3 pm at the Village Hall, 9996 Hwy 42, and will be available to greet visitors inside. Take home a bit of holiday cheer by creating a free holiday craft, 3-5 pm. Santa’s reindeer and elves will visit Olson Park, 3-5 pm, and at 5 pm, Santa will make his way to the Harborside Park gazebo to light the Christmas tree.

Some Ephraim businesses will be holding festive open houses as well. Finish up your holiday shopping with a sale on Christmas items at Vintique Resale, 10254 Hwy 42, 10 am – 5 pm; and check out special guest vendors at The Simple Solution, 10331 Hwy 42, 10 am – 4 pm.

Children can pick up a craft bag and book at the Ephraim Library, adjacent to the Ephraim Village Hall, 10 am – 2 pm; and don’t miss out on learning about Scandinavian holiday traditions by walking Tomte’s Reindeer Trail at the Ephraim Historical Foundation, 12-3 pm. This new outdoor activity – designed for ages 3-10, but fun for all ages – will be held rain or shine. Children who complete the trail will receive a complimentary tomte activity bag. After walking the trail, stop inside the Anderson Barn to create a tomte ornament. Masks will be required inside the building.

The Ephraim Moravian Church, 9970 Moravia St., will be offering a drive-through ADVENTure, 1-3 pm, when you can pick up a make-your-own wreath kit, Moravian sugar cake, candle and 2022 Watchwords. Moravian stars will also be available for purchase. Call 920.854.2804 or email [email protected] prior to the event to reserve your items. The church will also be accepting donations for Secret Santa to help local residents with heating bills this winter.

The traditionally decorated Eagle Harbor Inn, 9914 Water St., will feature live local Christmas trees, festive wassail and holiday sweets, 1-4 pm. Ephraim ornaments and gift certificates will be available for purchase as well.
