Santa Fe Shops Feature Elaine Coyne

Jewelry by Elaine Coyne.

Elaine Coyne’s visionary artwear accessories, including complete collections of earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and belts, are on display at the Santa Fe Shop in Fish Creek.

After 30 years of evolvement in the arts, Coyne’s designs are considered collectible artwear. Her first venture in the art business was the craft show circuit in upper New York State. She began with hand-painted buckles, headbands and neckbands. In 1974, commissions of belt buckles and jewelry from such organizations as the Vincent Motorcycle Club of America and England, Sherlock Holmes Club of America and England, Tennessee Walking Horse, Caterpillar, Atlanta High Museum of Art, Cobra Helicopter, Georgia Bulldog Alumni and the official Christmas gift Moon River buckle for Andy Williams came her way.

Meanwhile, other aspects of Coyne’s design and manufacture expertise began to catch on in the fashion industry. Coyne designed unusual buckles/belts and then began to add jewelry. She became noted for complete collections and unique finishes, such as the one-of-a-kind verdigris patinas and later, earth patinas.
