Science and Music at the Woodwalk Gallery

Dr. Roger Kuhns will discuss the Niagara Escarpment at the Woodwalk Gallery on July 17.

On Saturday, July 17 at 6 pm, science and music come together at Woodwalk Gallery to celebrate the Niagara Escarpment, Door County’s amazing geographical feature. Troubadours and teachers will inspire and help attendees understand their connection to this rocky ledge.

Teachers Dr. Roger Kuhns and Bob Bultman will present short talks interspersed with music by troubadours Lynn Gudmundsen, David Hatch, Marybeth Mattson, and Jeanne Kuhns. Guests are welcome to bring a picnic dinner and a bottle of wine.

Dr. Roger Kuhns is a geologist and environmental scientist with over 30 years experience in natural resources. He will show parts of his Niagara Escarpment film, give explanations, and answer questions.

Bob Bultman is a consulting naturalist and environmental educator with particular interest in restoration ecology, caves, and the Niagara Escarpment. He will discuss the plight of the bats that live in Door County cave sites.

The program begins at 6 pm and will end approximately 9:30 pm. Woodwalk Gallery and Events barn is located south of Egg Harbor, one mile west of Highway 42 at 6746 Highway G. Tickets are $10 at the door. For more information call 920.868.2912 or 920.495.2928.
