“See Me! Hear Me!” Performances Bring to Light Human Trafficking

Actress and activist Kathleen Thompson was deeply affected by a human trafficking experience in Poland more than a decade ago and will bring to light this tragic topic on October 1 at 7 pm during a performance entitled See Me! Hear Me! at Stella Maris Catholic Parish, located on Highway 57 in Baileys Harbor.

A free-will offering will be collected and a discussion will follow the performance. For more information call the UUFDC at 920.854.7559.

A second performance will be held at United Methodist Church, located at 836 Michigan Street in Sturgeon Bay, on October 2 at 2 pm. For more information call the United Methodist Church at 920.743.3241.

“There are more slaves in the world today than at any time in history,” said Thompson, “but we will never care enough to act in their defense until we hear their stories and see their human faces.”

The production, See Me! Hear Me! concerns the whole subject of global slavery. Human trafficking is the second largest crime industry in the world.

“My production is designed to bring to people the awareness they need to motivate them to fight to stop it,” added Thompson. “It is an engaging story that hooks people into the facts without it becoming a lecture.” Her performance is designed to inform and entertain.
