Shepherd of the Bay Holds Sale to Benefit Haitian Artisans

During November and December, Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church in Ellison Bay will hold a sale to raise money for artisans and their families living in Haiti. For many years Haitian craftsmen and women have gained recognition for their beautiful artwork created from recycled metal drums and river stones. The church has gathered a number of these pieces through SERRV and Comité Artisanal Haitïen (CAH). These organizations provide essential equipment, training, and marketing so low-income artisans and farmers can design and create new products and find new markets for their work.

Shepherd of the Bay will display the Haitian artwork in the church fellowship room during office hours: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and between services at the church located at the top of the hill in Ellison Bay.
