Sister Bay Moravian Church Celebrates the Start of Cherry Season

Another successful cherry season has begun and Sister Bay Moravian Church will celebrate with their annual Cherry Festival on July 21. Brats or hot dogs, desserts and beverages can be purchased from 11 am to 2 pm. Cherry desserts and other bakery items will be on sale. For more than 20 years Seaquist Orchards in Sister Bay has donated the cherries for the festival.

New this year is a chance to buy handmade crafts and art from local artists. Another highlight of the day is the rag rug sale. The Women’s Fellowship members gather denim and other materials, cutting them into strips. Master weaver Helen uses the multicolored strips to craft rugs on her loom. The rugs are all sizes and sold “by the inch.”

Join friends and neighbors for an afternoon of food and fellowship at Sister Bay Moravian Church, 10924 Old Stage Road, Sister Bay. Call 920.854.4080 for more information.
