Sister Bay Movie, Music Nights Return to Waterfront Park Stage June 14

Sister Bay has offered free music and, more recently, movies to summertime visitors and locals for more than 25 years. Thanks to the continued support of the Sister Bay business community, the tradition begins again June 14 at the Sister Bay Stage.

Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant & Butik, Tapuat Brewing Co., the Piggly Wiggly, and Wild Tomato Wood-fired Pizza and Grill are this year’s principle series sponsors. An additional 30 local businesses have sponsored individual concerts and movies throughout the summer.

Concerts feature several new acts, such as The Sharrows, Jiffy Slim, Brett Newski, and Future Stuff. And last year’s crowd favorites round out the series. Most concerts will be held on Wednesday nights 6-9 pm. Exceptions include Birch Creek Jazz Ambassador afternoon shows, and the Josh Harty Trio on Sunday of Marina Fest.

Movies will be played on Saturday evenings beginning at dusk, and include Fantastic Beasts, Rogue One, Secret Life of Pets, Zootopia, and La La Land. Looney-Tunes Cartoons will proceed each showing.
