Snowstorm Forces Friday Sports Postponements

The matchup for sole possession of first place in the Packerland Conference between the Southern Door and Kewaunee boys basketball teams will have to wait another day after Friday’s snowstorm resulted in numerous sports postponements.

The Eagles are now scheduled to host the Storm on Feb. 16. Both teams are the only two currently remaining with an undefeated conference record for this season.

The boys basketball game at Sturgeon Bay against Gibraltar, originally set for Friday, was rescheduled for Jan. 18. 

Sevastopol’s home boys basketball game against NEW Lutheran was rescheduled for Feb. 1.

The forecast for the latest snowstorm to linger into Saturday also resulted in Southern Door’s girls basketball game scheduled for that day at Oconto being postponed.

Tournaments for the Eagles’ boys and girls wrestlers set for Saturday were also canceled.
