Christa Wells will share an evening of live music Sept. 20, 7 pm, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay. Doors will open at 6:30 pm. She will also lead a song-writing workshop for children and youth, 4-5 pm. Space is limited for the workshop, so call ahead. A free-will donation will support Well’s music and ministry.
Wells is a Nashville-based indie singer-songwriter who has released five albums and developed a signature alternative-pop sound that’s fresh, soulful and enduring. Her latest project, Velveteen, chronicles her journey through suffering and offers hope after loss.
Wells is also passionate about encouraging and mentoring fellow artists. In addition to one-to-one songwriting coaching, she works each summer on the staff of Masterpiece Ministries, an arts camp for high school students. With Nicole Witt, she co-founded a creative support community called Artist And, which hosts songwriting and creative/spiritual retreats.
