Southern Door Elementary Recognized by Wisconsin DPI

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) and the Wisconsin Response to Intervention Center have recognized Southern Door Elementary School for implementing behavior expectations at the bronze level and building an equitable, multi-level support system aimed at closing achievement gaps and increasing the number of students who graduate ready for college or a career.

By establishing these supports, schools such as Southern Door Elementary are increasing consistent, effective instruction; building staff knowledge and skills to support all learners; using data to more quickly identify issues and provide support; and shifting to a proactive culture that supports stronger relationships

“We have incredibly hard-working staff and amazing students!” said Principal Cory Vandertie. “Together, we have committed ourselves to establishing and modeling our Eagle Proud, Eagle Strong school-wide expectations, which include Stay Safe, Offer Kindness, Act Responsibly, and Respect All.” To read more about the school’s efforts, visit southerndoor.k12.wi.us.
