Southern Door Student Advances to State Spelling Bee

Elise Jackson, a seventh-grader at Southern Door Middle School, earned first place Feb. 15 at the CESA 7 Regional Spelling Bee in Green Bay and will advance to the Badger State Spelling Bee in Madison on March 26. Jackson and Maggie Thomas of Sevastopol Elementary were two Door County participants of the 18 regional competitors.
