Southern Door Superintendent Patti Vickman to Retire

Southern Door School District Superintendent Patti Vickman will retire, effective June 30, after 45 years in education and nine years serving as superintendent. She returned to Southern Door in 2012 as an alumna of the Class of 1972.

Vickman has steered the school district through several referendums, including a significant building project that renovated the elementary and middle schools into safe, secure, modern learning spaces. Under her direction, the district is also known for its many innovations, including initiatives to help students graduate from college, career and community ready.

Vickman was named Wisconsin Rural Superintendent of the Year in 2015. She also serves as a board member for many local and state organizations.
