Special Hal Prize Announcement

Photography to be shown at PenArt exhibit

The time is drawing near for us to contact submitters with the winning results of this year’s Hal Prize, the writing and photography contest presented by the Peninsula Pulse and its partners: Write On, Door County, and the Peninsula School of Art.

With that comes an exciting new announcement: this year for the first time, Peninsula School of Art (PenArt) will print and exhibit the winning photos from this year’s contest. The photos will be exhibited next to the main gallery’s winter show, the BIG little Art Show. PenArt’s show opens at the beginning of November, and the Hal Prize photos will be added later in the month once our publication of 8142 Review is released.

Winners and submitters will be welcome to a reception to celebrate the exhibit. Plans for this reception are still in the works, including incorporating the winners of the fiction, nonfiction and poetry categories.
