Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP) will hold auditions for the next StageKids production, the world premiere of The Whaliens, written and directed by Alex Genty-Waksberg.
The Whaliens tells the story of Judd, a boy in high school, who is visited one night by a group of aliens that call themselves Whaliens. Their planet has become uninhabitable, so they consider moving to Planet Earth. Judd must contend with the fate of the planet and, even more difficult, the trials and tribulations of high school.
TAP is looking for elementary, middle and high school students. There are also parts available for two adults. Auditions will take place Oct. 13 at 1 pm and Oct. 16 at 5 pm. Those auditioning will read from the play. Copies are provided at the audition.
Rehearsals begin Oct. 24. The rehearsal schedule is based on the availability of the cast. Performances are Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 at 7:30 pm and 2 pm on Dec. 2. The cast calls for at least six middle/high school students, 3-5 elementary-aged students, and two adults (one male, one female). Third Avenue Playhouse is located at 239 N. Third Avenue in Sturgeon Bay.
