StageKids One Act Play Festival Features Door County High School Talents

The StageKids One Act Play Festival runs for three performances from April 28 to 30. Each of the four one-act plays features Door County high school students. The four short plays are selections of both comedy and drama. All plays are directed by Robert Boles, Third Avenue Playhouse’s (TAP) co-artistic director.

TAP’s StageKids program is open to all Door County students. StageKids provides classes and productions throughout the year for students in elementary through high school.

The plays and casts are: Adaptation by Elaine May – Jacob Barbercheck (Sevastopol), Cameron Friehe (Southern Door), Anna LeBrun (Southern Door) and Connor Werkheiser (Southern Door); Sure Thing by David Ives – Anna LeBrun and Kole Mallien (Sturgeon Bay); Hello Out There by William Saroyan – Isaiah Spetz (Sevastopol), Juliana Behme (Sevastopol), Anna LeBrun, Cameron Friehe, Fred Hodges (home school) and Connor Werkheiser; The Fifteen Minute Hamlet by Tom Stoppard – Isaiah Spetz, Juliana Behme, Anna LeBrun, Cameron Friehe, Fred Hodges, Connor Werkheiser, Kole Mallien, Jacob Barbercheck and Josie Morkin (Sturgeon Bay).

Courtesy of StageKid’s sponsors Dennis and Bonnie Connolly, students are provided free admission. General admission for adults is $15. Because of some mature content, the plays are recommended for ages 14 and up. Performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm, and Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm.
