Steel Bridge Radio to Begin Airing Oct. 27

On Oct. 27, Steel Bridge Radio, a locally based internet radio station, will begin broadcasting original, collaboratively written music, live concerts, and exclusive interviews with artists, 24 hours a day, seven days a week at steelbridgeradio.com.

The content of this innovative media creation will focus on the collaborative music written and recorded during the three yearly songwriting retreats and festivals held since 2005 at the Holiday Music Motel in Sturgeon Bay. Steel Bridge Radio will not only play the music from the compilation CDs from the previous nine years of recordings, but will also delve into the hundreds of archived tracks that have, until now, remained silent.

Sturgeon Bay native and Steel Bridge Radio’s operations manager James Larsen will host the musical journey through the past and into the future of the collaborative music created at The Holiday. Larsen along with pat mAcdonald, melaniejane, Steve Hamilton and others will develop radio shows featuring the music and different topics through live, on-air programs with listener interaction via telephone, live chat, and special features like live streaming of Steel Bridge artists’ concerts in Door County.

Larsen says, “It will have the power to reach listeners from around the world who are hungry for original, collaborative creations and to promote the artists who pour their hearts and souls into making music. It’s time to take this music across the bridge and send it out into the world.”
