Steel Bridge Songfest Celebrates 10 Years in 2015

Steel Bridge Songfest 2015, held June 11 – 14, marks the festival’s 10th anniversary. Festivities begin on June 11 with Door County Appreciation Night. Entrance to all venues is free, beginning at 5 pm and finishing with an evening Pub Crawl.

The Pub Crawls take place June 11 – 13, from 9 pm – 1 am. There are multiple indoor and outdoor venues with 150-plus musical acts, free trolley transportation from 9 am to 1 am between downtown venues from Door County Trolley, and a free ride home (within city limits) provided by Door County Cab for SBSF pass holders from 1 – 3 am.

On June 12 & 13, there will be performances at 12 venues throughout Sturgeon Bay’s downtown historic district. At Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP), there will be two evenings of original music, from 7 – 10 pm, from the Construction Zone songwriters and the songs written at the Holiday Music Motel in the days preceding the festival weekend. Friday’s performance at TAP brings the “2015 Steel Bridge All-Star Review” featuring the entire 2015 Construction Crew and special guests. Saturday’s performances at TAP include a Young Songwriters Showcase featuring a host of talented youth, and, from 8:30 – 10 pm, Construction Zone songwriters “in the round.”

“Take It To The Bridge” will be held on June 13, 1 – 6 pm, and June 14, 1 – 5 pm, on two outdoor stages at The Holiday Music Motel. Along with the music, there will be food by Nistebox, beer and soda. These outdoor shows are free and open to the public. In case of rain, shows will be moved to Door County Fire Company, and general admission “Supporter” passes will be required. On June 14, there will also be a special tribute to Chris Aaron.
