Still Room in Turtle Ridge Art Camp

After the smashing success of their first Art Camp, Turtle Ridge is offering a second session in April. Art Camp II – Make Your Own Bag will focus on construction techniques and functionality. Participants will take one pattern and choose to construct a bag to fit their lifestyle: a backpack, a tote or a crossbody. There is still room in the camp on April 22 – 24.

After an art camp in January Kathy Pescharet said this of her experience, “Mary Ellen and Asta carefully led each student through the process, providing whatever assistance was needed, and did so with incredible good cheer and patience. Students from all walks of life bonded as they shared in the creative process.”

Come for a creative spring weekend at Turtle Ridge. Go home with a beautiful bag valued at $350 that will be an expression of your style. The course starts with a Friday night orientation and refreshments. Classes are capped at six people. No prior experience required. Friday night orientation is set for 6 – 8 pm, morning sessions are 9 am – 12 pm, and afternoon sessions are 1 – 4 pm.

The cost is $345 (materials included) and a $100 non-refundable deposit secures your spot.

A packet with leather samples to choose from will be mailed prior to the class. Participants will be able to pick from different styles of construction, colors of leather and details.

Most of Turtle Ridge’s art camps are scheduled for the winter months. This year, they’re adding an exclusive art camp for friends, family or reunion. The project and party can be customized to suit the group’s interests and timeframe. Inquire if Turtle Ridge can accommodate your group.
