Sturgeon Bay Art Crawl Nov. 19-21

After a cancellation in 2020, the Sturgeon Bay Art Crawl will return Nov. 19-21, 10 am – 4 pm. During each annual event, the participants open their studio or gallery to the public so that visitors can see the art, witness some of the processes used to create it and speak with the artists.

This year’s artwork includes drawing, glass, mixed media, painting, photography, pottery, printmaking and woodworking. Some of the artists have been part of the art crawl since it began in 2007; others have joined along the way; and a record nine are new this year. A list of the participating artists, a sampling of their work, and a map of the studio/gallery locations are available at sturgeonbayartcrawl.com.

Visitors will be able to sign up online at the various locations for a chance to win this year’s “Doerr Prize”: a decorative wooden bowl by Michael Doerr that will be given away.

A kick-off party will be held in Sturgeon Bay on Nov. 19, 5-7 pm, at SŌMI Gallery, 45 S. 3rd Ave.; and at Avenue Art on 3rd, 39 S. 3rd Ave. Light refreshments and a sample of each artist’s work will be available.
