Sturgeon Bay Celebrates Christmas by the Bay

While the city’s Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony took place Friday, November 20, plenty of holiday activities will still abound in Sturgeon Bay in the upcoming weeks.

The Christmas by the Bay parade is slated for Saturday, December 5. The lineup for the procession, which is sure to include a variety of floats, walkers, and of course, Santa, will be at Sawyer Park. The parade will get underway at 10 am, making its way across the Oregon Street bridge, down Third Avenue to Jefferson Street and 6th Avenue. Additional activities include Santa at the Door County Historical Museum, hay wagon rides, Christmas Coloring Contest at Bridgeport Resort, Door CANcer Holiday House walk, and the annual Angel Ball Saturday evening.

Then, on Sunday, Dec. 6, people won’t want to miss Breakfast with Santa at Stone Harbor from 9:30 am – noon or the Bed & Breakfast Christmas Walk from 1:30 – 5 pm.

Santa will be making another appearance in Sturgeon Bay on Saturday, December 13 at the Door County Maritime Museum. He will arrive by boat with visits planned on the tug John Purves from 10 am – 1 pm.
