Sturgeon Bay Chef to Appear on Food Network

Emilie Rose Bishop will appear on Guy Fieri’s Guy’s Grocery Games on Aug. 28, 8 pm, on the Food Network. 

Bishop recently moved from Chicago to Sturgeon Bay to join the Union Supper Pub as its executive chef/partner – a move that takes her full circle because she began her culinary career as a dishwasher when the restaurant was called Andre’s. During the 15 years since, she’s made her way around the country and Puerto Rico, gaining more experience cooking and as a jazz vocalist.

Bishop was a contestant on Fieri’s show in October, filming in Santa Rosa, California. It was her second time, returning to film a redemption episode. Contestants must race to complete a cooking challenge issued by Guy Fieri.“As a huge jazz music aficionado and a jazz vocalist,” Bishop said, “I think cooking is very similar – as there is always the opportunity to improvise and change according to the moment. That strength played well in a show like this because of the unknown challenges that were given on the fly. Guy Fieri is a wonderful and very giving human being, and I can’t wait to go back someday!”
