Sturgeon Bay High Schooler Named to Senate Scholar Program

Collette Ullman of Sturgeon Bay High School represented Wisconsin Senate District 1 during the March 12-17 session of the 2023 Senate Scholar Program – a “leading educational initiative designed to challenge Wisconsin’s best high school juniors and seniors who are interested in the state legislative process,” according to state Sen. André Jacque, who nominated Ullman for the program.

One student from each of Wisconsin’s 33 Senate Districts participates in this weeklong, intensive, hands-on educational experience at the state Capitol. Its advanced government curriculum includes classroom instruction, roundtable discussion sections and a lab component. Experts teach participants about constituent relations, research and development of legislation, and bill drafting.
