Sturgeon Bay Opens New Pickleball Courts

Sturgeon Bay celebrated the opening of a new pickleball complex Oct. 5. The seven-court complex is the largest in the county, and it’s a welcome addition for enthusiasts of the fast-growing sport. 

Appearing at the opening was Mike Barker, head of the city’s Parks and Recreation Department; David Ward, mayor of Sturgeon Bay; Jay Renstrom, USA Pickleball ambassador for Door County; Jack Follick, president of the Door County Pickleball Club; and 40 other pickleballers.
