Sturgeon Bay Police Department Makes Two Arrests for Stolen Vehicles

Two arrests have been made in conjunction with six reports of stolen vehicles, with additional arrests forthcoming, according to the Sturgeon Bay Police Department.

Between Feb. 7 and April 10, the police department had received six reports of stolen vehicles or vehicles damaged as a result of a person(s) attempting to steal them. The reports came from Georgia Street, West Pine Street, South 18th Avenue, Egg Harbor Road, South Geneva Street and North 14th Avenue.

A 16-year-old male has been referred to the Juvenile Justice System for one of the reports, and a 17-year-old male was arrested and charged for two counts of operating a motor vehicle without owner consent and two counts of removing major vehicle components without owner consent.

An 18-year-old male responsible for his role in these incidents has not been located as of this date.

The Sturgeon Bay Police Department said the community has been instrumental in the arrests made thus far, and additional arrests are forthcoming.
