Style Show Highlights Environmental Issues

The Scand Auxiliary will host its annual style show and luncheon Sept. 11, 11:45 am, at Gordon Lodge in Baileys Harbor. All proceeds will benefit the Scandia Village–Good Samaritan Retirement Center in Sister Bay. 

This year’s theme of Dress Well, Do Good responds to the concern about environmental responsibility by promoting the repurposing of clothing, jewelry, purses and other accessories, and thereby preventing tons of these items from ending up in landfills. Clothing and accessories from Bargains Unlimited will be featured in the show and are available for sale. A silent auction featuring local and worldwide art, as well as jewelry, will also be a highlight.

The cost is $25 for auxiliary members and $30 for guests. Purchase tickets through Aug. 31 at Bargains Unlimited, 10578 Applewood Road in Sister Bay.
