Summer Harvest Cherry Fest at Orchard Country Winery & Market

Orchard Country Winery & Market will host its 9th Annual Summer Harvest Cherry Fest on July 27, 10 am – 5 pm.

Enjoy complimentary tasting of Orchard Country wines, local micro brews and farm market foods – featuring the popular tart Montmorency cherry. The summer festival will also include pick-your-own tart cherries and free, guided winery tours – every hour from 10 am – 4 pm.

Orchard Country’s cherry pit spit competition begins at 2 pm. The competition is open to all ages and prizes are awarded to the top contestants. For those who love to eat – a cherry donut-eating contest begins at 11 am and the cherry pie-eating contest is at 1 pm.

The fun continues with horse-drawn wagon rides throughout the scenic orchards, live music from 1 – 5 pm by Ben There Dan That, a food tent, children’s inflatable bouncer, face painting and balloons by Happyness Clowns from 11 am – 2 pm.

“Our cherry crop is looking great this year and we’re very excited to begin pick-your-own tart cherries,” says Kendra Sohm, sales and marketing manager. “Plus, the festival offers fun for everyone – from wine tasting and live music to children’s activities and guided tours.”
