Take the Family to Crossroads’ Words in the Woods

Words in the Woods will continue at Crossroads at Big Creek on July 23, 7:30 pm. First, take a self-guided hike on the Habitat Trails; then gather at the outdoor amphitheater along Big Creek.

The evening’s entertainment will include a short presentation about the many happenings at Crossroads, some acoustic songs by Ben Larsen, and Ryan Patrick Shaw’s reading of Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are.

Participants can then head home by 8:30 pm or stay for s’mores and a campfire at the Council Ring. Bench seating is available at the amphitheater, but attendees may also take camp chairs or blankets, as well as treats and beverages. 

There is no charge for this event at Crossroads (crossroadsatbigcreek.org), 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay, but donations are appreciated.
