TAP of Door County Presents TAPFest

For eleven years, Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP) has served as a venue for local performers. September 17 at 7:30 pm, many of those same performers will join forces and voices for TAPFest, a concert event for the benefit of the theater.

TAPFest was organized by Mark Thiede, who has managed technical support for TAP since 2005.

“Mark has his own recording studio in Sturgeon Bay and runs sound for a number of area events and venues,” said Judy Drew, TAP’s executive director. “He’s well connected in the county’s music community. This is the second year he has coordinated this benefit for us.”

This year’s TAPFest performers will include Ben There, Dan That! (Ben Larsen and Dan Mayhew), Dow Jones, Fairland Bluegrass Band, Ryan Moreno, Early Thomas and more.

All proceeds from concert will benefit TAP’s General Fund and help support operations.

Tickets for TAPFest are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students and $8 for children. Tickets are on sale at the theater box office, 239 N. Third Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, 920.743.1760, Monday through Friday from 10 am – 3 pm and also one hour prior to the performance. Tickets are also available at Dancing Bear, 13 N.
