TAP Offers New Year’s Eve Production and Celebration

Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP) will host a special New Year’s Eve celebration in conjunction with the Dec. 31 performance of A Tuna Christmas. Immediately following the show, patrons can mingle with the cast and staff in the lobby, enjoying food, drinks and a few surprises to help ring in the new year. Tickets are available online for this special performance and party.

A Tuna Christmas by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard is the hilarious sequel to Greater Tuna, which TAP presented in 2013. It’s Christmas Eve in the fictional town of Tuna, Texas, and radio station personalities Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie are reporting on the local Yuletide activities. With quick-change zaniness and quicksilver one-liners, Alan Kopischke and Noah Simon introduce the audience to 22 of the wildest citizens of one crazy town, bringing all the “joy to the world” that make the holidays so special.

A Tuna Christmas runs Dec. 12-31. Tickets are $30 for general admission and $12 for students. Special discounts are also available for groups, and companies and organizations will receive a 20 percent discount, plus extra perks, when scheduling a private showing for 40 or more people. Call the TAP office at 920.743.1760 to schedule a private performance.
