Ted Pollman Scholarship Winners Announced

College students Casey Rosenthal, Mathew VanBramer and Ethan Ray were recently selected as recipients of the 2015 Ted Pollman Scholarship. All three will receive $1,500 toward schooling and are current employees of Pollman family businesses.

The Ted Pollman Scholarship was created by the Pollman family, owners of Door Peninsula Winery and other Door County businesses, to honor the memory of their youngest son, who was tragically killed in a car accident in 2000.

Applicants are asked about their educational aspirations, community involvement, extracurricular involvement, and the challenges they have faced and overcome. Each application is read by the Pollman family and deserving students are chosen based on their answers. There are three additional Ted Pollman Scholarships awarded each year to area graduating high school seniors going on to higher education.
