Town Hires Pavilion-Retrofit Contractor

The Jacksonport Town Board on Feb. 5 hired Hibbards Creek Construction to complete a retrofit and upgrade of the two Lakeside Park pavilions this year for $60,700. 

The local firm submitted the lone bid for the late-spring project, which will include staining all the existing wood; removing metal end panels that hide beams; adding a concrete apron around each pavilion’s perimeter; adding cupolas; and repainting the steel roofs in a Thunder Gray color to match the recreation building. Also included are decorative and structural beams near the roof edge, and minor electrical and plumbing upgrades.
