Travel Series Cruises Russia

On Friday evening, March 26, the Kiwanis Club will present its fifth program of their current Travel and Adventure Film Series at 7:30 pm at the First Baptist Church in Sister Bay.

In Cruising Russia – St. Petersburg to Moscow, presented by Clint Denn, viewers will experience a spectacular voyage through the heart of Russia, traveling the scenic and historic Russian waterways, along the Neva, across two of Europe’s largest lakes, Lake Ladoga and Lake Onega, down the Volga-Baltic Waterway through river locks, and along the historic Volga. The film makes a stop in St. Petersburg to experience the history of Peter the Great’s “window on Europe,” as well as visits small towns including the enchanting Golden Ring cities before arriving in Moscow, a city of contrasts with modern skyscrapers alongside ancient monasteries.

The show will be presented by award-winning and veteran cinematographer, Clint Denn. Following a career in the Navy, Denn became a Senior Aquatics Specialist and Chief Diving Officer for the city of Los Angeles. He has also been involved in acting, writing, photography, travel and underwater adventure.

Show time is 7:30 pm at the First Baptist Church of Sister Bay. Admission is $7. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Children under 18 are admitted free; refreshments will be available during intermission.
