Twelve Wins for Chopper

This year the Cornerstone team was playing for more than what a record could show in the men’s double-header softball league. They were playing for Randy “Chopper” Pluff, a friend and teammate who passed away last December. To honor Chopper, the team wore brain cancer awareness ribbons on the arms of their jerseys and made it their goal to win all 12 games for him this year.

At the beginning of each game a huddle was held and “Chopper” could be heard throughout the ball field. The Cornerstone team went undefeated this year, maybe with some help from an extra teammate.
