Two Die in Crash in Nasewaupee

Two Green Bay residents died in a two-vehicle crash that happened at 6:30 pm Sunday, May 12, in the Town of Nasewaupee.

The initial investigation revealed that the BMW was traveling northbound on County PD when it failed to stop for a stop sign. The BMW was struck by a 2015 Ford F150 pickup truck that was traveling eastbound on County C.

A 52-year-old Green Bay man, a passenger in a 2011 BMW, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 16-year-old Green Bay girl, and another passenger, a 20-year-old woman from Austin, Texas, were transported by Eagle III to Green Bay hospitals with life-threatening injuries. The 16-year-old died from her injuries, according to the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.

The area was closed for several hours while the crash was investigated and traffic was diverted. The Door County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol Technical Reconstruction Unit.

The crash remains under investigation. The names of the victims are not being released pending notification of the next-of-kin.
