United Way of Door County held its Annual Meeting and Community Celebration on April 3 at The Lodge of Leathem Smith in Sturgeon Bay. More than 100 people were in attendance to celebrate United Way’s success during 2013. New business conducted at the meeting included the election of new board members and officers for the year beginning April 2014.

Bob Agnew is taking over the role of board president. He will be supported by the rest of the Executive Committee: Warren Bluhm, vice president; Grace Rossman, treasurer; and Sue Anschutz, secretary. New board members are Lori Vorpahl, Jarrod Parks, Rob Moxon, Sharon Haines and Tara Pierre. Board members continuing their terms are Billy Kletzien, Liz Junion, Sue Wehrli, and Keith Mutchler. Youth board members, all from Sturgeon Bay High School, are Caitie Reichel, Kelsey Smith and Samantha Moeller.

Outgoing board members Orie Milton and Mark Forbes were honored at the event, as was outgoing President Don Albert.

Also, Pamela Parks was awarded the 2013 Bob Steifvater “Magnificent” Volunteer Award. Parks was one of United Way’s campaign co-chairs some years ago and did an excellent job of bringing increased awareness and new donors to our organization.
