Upcoming Programs at Sturgeon Bay’s The Crossroads

The Crossroads at Big Creek will continue its educational programs into the winter.

On Saturday, Dec. 11 at 1 pm and Sunday, Dec. 12 at 11 am, the public is welcome to “Hike to the Evergreen Forest.” Participants of the one-hour, naturalist-led hike will learn about the natural history of conifers.

On Monday, Dec. 13 at 3 pm, the Door County Invasive Species Team will host their December meeting in the Collins Learn Center. During the meeting, eight individuals who have gone “above and beyond in education on and eradicating invasive species around the county” will be recognized for their hard work, and share information about their specific projects. Refreshments will be served and the public is encouraged to attend.

On Saturday, Dec. 18 from 8:30 am to sunset, the public is welcome to participate in the “Sturgeon Bay Christmas Bird Count.” Call to sign up.

Crossroads is located at 2041 Michigan Street, Sturgeon Bay. The Collins Learning Center is open 2 – 5 pm daily. For more information call 920.746.5895 or visit http://www.crossroadsatbigcreek.org.
