UUF Offers Free Writing Session

In the early Buddhist, Jewish and Christian texts, faith is not a noun but a verb. In the Pali language of the original Buddhist texts,

it meant literally “to place the heart upon.” Join Rev. Karen Hering for an afternoon of guided writing exploring faith as something we do during “When Faith is a Verb,” Sept. 23, 1:30-3:30 pm. This workshop is offered in collaboration with Write On, Door County.

Hering serves as consulting literary minister at Unity Church-Unitarian, in St. Paul, Minnesota, and is the author of Writing to Wake the Soul: Opening the Sacred Conversation Within. She leads retreats and programs for writers and non-writers alike, and her forthcoming book, Living in the Between: A Thresholder’s Guide to Personal and Global Change, will be published in 2018.

The workshop is free and open to the public. The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is located at 10341 Water Street, Ephraim.
