UUFDC Scholarship Honors Commitment to Social Justice

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County (UUFDC) will award a $1,000 scholarship to one student who demonstrates an outstanding personal commitment to social justice.

A commitment to social justice is one of the founding principles of Unitarian Universalism, whose congregations seek to make a positive difference in their wider communities by raising awareness, supporting, serving, advocating for, and partnering with those who face injustice.

This scholarship opportunity is open to all Door County graduating high school or homeschooled seniors. Find application guidelines, requirements and materials at doorcountyscholarships.org, and apply by the March 21, 2022, deadline

Through this scholarship, students of any faith – or no faith – are encouraged to persevere in the struggle for social justice, wherever and whenever they find it. Students need not be members of the UUFDC to apply. Award money will be paid directly to the recipient’s college at the beginning of her or his second semester of study.
