VIEWING NIGHT, NATURE CLUB AND MORE AT CROSSROADS

The Door Peninsula Astronomical Society will host an evening of night-sky observation March 26, 7 pm, at Crossroads at Big Creek’s Astronomy Campus, 2200 Utah St. in Sturgeon Bay. If it’s overcast, attend the indoor program.

Enjoy a hike at Ida Bay Preserve – no matter the weather and open to all ages – March 27, 2 pm. Meet at the parking lot at 1195 Canal Road in Sturgeon Bay.

The Junior Nature Club will meet March 30, 10 am, to hike to the Cedar Crossing Bridge and enjoy unstructured play. This activity is intended for preschool children and their caregivers, but siblings and others are welcome. All activities are outside, so bundle up

On March 30, 3 pm, Wild Ones of the Door Peninsula will present The Nature of Oaks. During this video presentation, renowned entomologist Doug Tallamy will offer a month-by-month guide to observing and identifying the growth of oak trees and the creatures that depend on oaks for food and shelter.

Masks are recommended inside buildings at Crossroads at Big Creek (crossroadsatbigcreek.org), 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay.
