Literacy Door County invites the community to attend two training sessions in May for individuals interested in tutoring adults in English language skills. The goal is to provide one-on-one instruction to those who struggle with the English language. Most students are immigrants, but the organization also provides tutoring for basic literacy students.
These training sessions will be held May 1 and May 10 from 4-6 pm at Hope Church, 141 S. 12th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay; attendance at both sessions is required. Prior teaching experience or knowledge of a language other than English is not required. A $25 fee is charged to cover the cost of supplies.
