Wanted: Six-Word Stories That Describe Your Mother

Show your mother some love this Mother’s Day, May 14, in a way she’ll always remember

This is a shout-out to everyone who would like to honor their mother in the pages of the Peninsula Pulse. It’s a rip-off story idea from NPR last year, and maybe NPR has done it for years, and maybe they weren’t the first ones to do it. Anyway, point is: We love the idea and know you will, too.

Describe your mother in six words – not five, not seven, six words. For example: Quiet perseverance with a brilliant smile.

Email to [email protected] your six-word story with your full name, your mother’s full name, her age (if she consents), your city/state of residence and your mother’s city/state of residence.

We’d also love to have a photo to go along with the six-word story. In fact, those submissions that do arrive with a photo will be our first selections.

Finally: You need to get on this as quickly as possible! The deadline to get them to us is 2 pm on Monday, May 8.

We’ll publish as many as we’re able to get in for our Friday, May 12 issue.
