Washington Island Rec Center Receives Donations

Several donors have provided the Washington Island Foundation with a generous gift to underwrite an engineering study to assess the structural and aesthetic condition of the island’s Rec Center – a resource that’s been at the center of Washington Island’s social and recreational activities since 1988.

These donors would also provide seed money for future fundraising efforts to “reinvigorate the Rec,” making the necessary changes recommended by the study. Many others have made additional donations for that work through an annual fundraising appeal.
